Kurzbeschreibung (Abstract)

In the research project INES (intelligent low emission system) industry partners and TU Darmstadt are developing a pre-turbo exhaust gas aftertreatment system to achieve zero-impact emissions. The focus is on reducing nitrogen oxides emissions from hybridized diesel passenger cars which is realized by positioning an additional selective catalytic reduction system upstream of the exhaust gas turbocharger. The pre-turbo system is complemented by an exhaust gas aftertreatment system downstream of the turbocharger and ensures efficient emission reduction especially in urban areas.
