Abstract

Sophisticated visualisation enables scientists as well as forecasters to extract knowledge from complex data. The DWD and Fraunhofer IGD are jointly developing visualisation systems that allow to understand and present data. The necessity to use 3D visualisation is pointed out. First experiences with 3D visualisation in the context of DWD's visualisation systems are described.
