The position statement start by recalling a standard classification of telecooperation tools, then briefly comments on the state of the art. A quest is made for highly configurable and customizable tools as the only viable approach to computer-supporting productive telecooperation on a large scale. A highly conjigurable whiteboard is described as an example.
