A Teachware Concept for Education in CAD

Messina, Luiz Ary (1988)
A Teachware Concept for Education in CAD.
1st Luso-German Meeting On Computer Graphics. Proceedings.
Konferenzveröffentlichung, Bibliographie

Kurzbeschreibung (Abstract)

The main task is aimed at supporting the teacher and the student with hardware and software tools for a CAD training environment. Teachware is the term designating the new technologies developed in the last decades (e.g. overhead projector, large screen projector, video, film, hardware and software) and the techniques applied for teaching purposes. The reference model for the general concept is shown in fig. 1.In the center there is the subject to be taught. Around it there is the knowledge supporting the subject, which comes from different sources (e.g. books, procedures, peoples' experience). This knowledge is shared among teachers and students; and this knowledge must be evaluated. The description of the school organization serves as a filter to the choice of a technological infrastructure. In order to support and establish a teachware environment for CAD the following guidelines are considered and are being implemented based on Autocad, IBM PS 2 systems and a pedagogical network.(AGD)
