In a cooperation between the Ohio Supercomputer Center in Columbus (Ohio, USA) and the FhG-AGD, two students of the Technical University in Darmstadt (FRG) work as programmer assistants with the Ohio Supercomputer Graphics Project (OSGP). Both students are developing customized enhancements for visualization, called apE. Developed by OSGP, apE has gained a broad recognition within the scientific community since the release of version 2.0 last year.
