Integration of Compute Servers in an Environment for Distributed Simulation and Visualization.
ECUC '92. Proceedings.
Konferenzveröffentlichung, Bibliographie

Kurzbeschreibung (Abstract)

Although visualization in scientific computing has been a field of intensive progress during the last five years it is far from being finally developed. The concepts of modern techniques in scientific computing - Synergetic Visualization, On-Line Visualization, Distributed Visualization, and Semantic Input - are outlined in this paper. It is demonstrated how the realization of these techniques in a hardware environment which features a compute server and graphic workstations improves the process of scientific computing. Examples from fluid dynamics, structure mechanics and thermodynamics show the application of the installed hardware and software environment in actual research projects at the Fraunhofer Institute for Computer Graphics.
