Kurzbeschreibung (Abstract)
This paper is intended to give and overview of the aims of the project "High Definition Multimedia Systems in the Office 2000" which started in spring 1993 and to present the first results up to the date of this conference. The key-chapter describes the office environment we have chosen and why we did so. Furtheron the working groups within this project are named to give an overview of the central issues. Focussing on one of these issues, image quality has to be investigated thoroughly.
