Concept and Implementation of an Augmented Reality Game.
Technische Universität Darmstadt
Diplom- oder Magisterarbeit, Bibliographie
Kurzbeschreibung (Abstract)
Augmented Reality is a new approach to human-machine interaction, providing supplementary visual information to the user, for example, using a head-mounted display. This supplementary information is displayed in a context-sensitive manner, i.e. drawn from and fitted to the real object being viewed, such as a part of an assembly. This work had as bears the ARVIKA project. The goal of this project is Augmented Reality in development, production and service. In this context, an application was developed with sight to test the system of augmented reality as well as analyze the mechanisms of interaction and the strategies of communication between the several components of the system. In the scope of this work an application using the ArBrowser and the ContextManager have been developed, where a virtual Tetris game is faded into the real world by wearing a head mounted display.
