Abstract

The retrofitting process from conventional lighting to LED lighting was scientifically monitored in 33 schools from February to October 2014. Therefore 4,300 students and 165 teachers have been asked by paper and pencil questionnaire about their subjective evaluation of lighting conditions before and after LED retrofitting. The results of the study give important insight into the effects of LED refurbishments in schools and on how they change the perception of indoor quality in classrooms. The study shows that LED lighting in classrooms was rated more positively than conventional lighting, although lighting conditions had no influence on reported complaints. The retrofitting process, however, was not taken up and used in teaching.

Das vorherrschende Leuchtmittel in deutschen Schulen sind immer noch Leuchtstoffröhren, nur 4% der Klassenräume sind mit energieeffizienter LED-Beleuchtung ausgestattet. Laut einer aktuellen Studie entfallen 67% des Stromverbrauchs in Schulen auf die Beleuchtung. Aus diesem Grund besteht ein großes Energieeinsparpotenzial in der Umrüstung von Schulen auf LED-Beleuchtung. Die vorliegende herstellerunabhängige Studie hat die subjektive Bewertung von konventioneller Beleuchtung und LED-Beleuchtung in Klassenräumen durch eine Vorher-/Nachher-Befragung untersucht.German
