Abstract

The flow behavoiur of aliminum EN-AW 6060 is examined using different test methods at temperatures of 480 °C to 580 °C. Here, especially the comparison of the yield stress determined in tensile-, compression-, bulge and hot tube bulge test is of interest. The influence of strain rate, friction and temperature on the yield stress can be quantified. With the simulation of a hot-hydroforming process, the applicability of the hot tube bulge test for the record of material data is shown.
