Integration of JT (ISO 14306) in Industrie 4.0.
PLM Europe 2015. Berlin, Germany (26.10.2015-28.10.2015)
Konferenzveröffentlichung, Bibliographie

Kurzbeschreibung (Abstract)

Industrie 4.0 is a German research initiative to implement the German high-tech strategy 2020 and represents the 4th industrial revolution. The strategic approach enables the integration of smart systems with internet technology resulting in a comprehensive communication between products, complex systems and people based on cyber-physical systems. One of the major goals of Industrie 4.0 is the development of new value-added processes and networks to increase business efficiency. This requires new engineering methods and tools to fulfill future business requirements. Important key enablers for the implementation of Industrie 4.0 are standardization, automation and a performant information integration in engineering and business processes. In this context, the data format JT (ISO 14306:2012) enables the efficient processing of information in engineering applications and is prevalent in industry. This paves the way for the horizontal and vertical integration of JT in Industrie 4.0. This contribution provides an overview of Industrie 4.0 and JT technology. The most promising use cases for the integration of JT in Industrie 4.0 will be introduced focusing on distributed additive manufacturing and customer-oriented services in automotive industry. New approaches for condition monitoring and remote diagnosis will be shown as well as future fields of application and further innovation potentials.
