Managing a Company´s Know-how-Strategy in Global Production Networks by a Strategic Portfolio.
44th CIRP Conference on Manufacturing Systems.
Konferenzveröffentlichung, Bibliographie

Kurzbeschreibung (Abstract)

Today’s global production networks demand solutions combating product piracy and protecting the company´s know-how. The highly complex and dynamic environment calls for a sophisticated anticounterfeiting strategy which tackles the risks affecting a company at most. Therefore, every company has to assess its specific risk situation in order to allocate its resources to the most effective technological, organizational and legal measures. This paper introduces a new strategic portfolio which enables companies to manage its know-how-protection strategy. The portfolio clusters products regarding their attractiveness for different strategies to steal know-how, showing the most important risks and deduces norm strategies to minimize risks.
