Kurzbeschreibung (Abstract)

The data exchange between the different partners involved in the complex process of computer-integrated structural planning nowadays mainly takes place in the form of technical drawings (e.g. DXF-format [1]) — analogous to plans on paper. The important information relating to structural elements (e.g. the loads of a structure) is not transfered. This, however, leads to a considerable loss of information. Therefore, data exchange is often only used for information exchange between CAD systems. Information for computational, dimensioning and construction programs must generally be prepared manually because of the loss of satisfying data exchange interfaces.
