Kurzbeschreibung (Abstract)

This paper addresses the integration of in-memory design data representation and design databases. The consistency maintenance between both models is specifically emphasized, and an approach is proposed where the consistency control is factored out from the design tools and is implemented as an object-oriented framework. Such approach simplifies tool design by increasing the abstraction of the database conceptual model and its consistency maintenance mechanisms.
