Over the course of the modern Olympic Games, it has become evident that the management of transport systems is essential to host a successful event. In addition, effectively leveraging the billions of dollars of investments into transport upgrades prior to the Games has become of key concern not only to create a sustainable and viable legacy for the host but also to change the way the local population travels in light of increasing congestion and crowded transport systems in the Olympic cities.
