Development of a competence-oriented training on climateneutral production for learning factories.

Kurzbeschreibung (Abstract)
Due to the climate crisis, companies face the responsibility to produce more sustainably and to exert as little negative impact as possible on the environment. In this context, the term `climate neutrality' is frequently used in company statements to describe both production and individual products. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) face the challenge of having to meet new competence demands for the transformation towards climate neutrality, without having specialized departments available for this purpose. The article briefly describes how SMEs can design and operationally implement strategies on climate-neutral production and which corresponding competencies they need. It is then described how these competencies can be taught in a learning factory at a competence-oriented on-site training on climate-neutral production. The on-site training at the ETA Learning Factory at Technical University of Darmstadt is enhanced by a prior online training to teach the fundamentals. The article describes the method of developing the training course and an evaluation of the training concept.
