Kurzbeschreibung (Abstract)
The Lattice Boltzmann Method (LBM) is a numerical method that is mainly used to simulate fluid flows but it can be applied to structural problems as well. In this work, different LBMs for solids subject to antiplane shear deformation are investigated with regard to their convergence and energy conservation behavior. In particular, the two-dimensional models of Guangwu 1 and Chopard et al. 2 are analyzed. To compare the two models, the evolution of the total energy and the L2 norm of a global error measure are analyzed.
