Optimierung von Modellparametern für die Euler-Lagrange Simulation von Sprays.
Technische Universität Darmstadt
Masterarbeit, Bibliographie
Kurzbeschreibung (Abstract)
The simulation of sprays is involving several models to capture different aspects of physical observations
such as evaporation, heat transfer and break-up. Some of these models are not universally applicable but
need to be tuned to match the setup to be simulated.
In this work an automated multi-objective optimization procedure based on a genetic algorithm is
developed to find the best suited model parameters for an Eulerian-Langragian CFD simulation using
foam-extend. Therefore Spray A of the ECN is the use case. Comparison of simulation and experiments
are carried out with regards to liquid and vapor penetration as well as mixture fraction. Accordingly the
objective functions of the optimization focuses on the KH-RT hybrid break-up model, but adaption of
turbulence model constants is also investigated. The optimization algorithm is performing 2D wedge simulations
to keep the CPU costs low, the results are transfered to a full 3D simulation. The transferability
from the RANS simulation to a LES is examined.
