Seamless Service Provision in P2P Service Overlays.
Report, Bibliographie

Kurzbeschreibung (Abstract)

Peer-to-peer (P2P) networks are distributed systems and provide functionality to share and distribute data. Examples are file sharing systems, voice communication and video streaming. Service oriented computing provides new abilities for P2P systems resulting in so called P2P service overlays. P2P service overlays enable the discovery and distribution but also the execution and composition of applications and services. In the presented work we give an overview of the main building blocks for P2P service overlays and identify several requirements and problems that are posed by such systems. We focus on the problem of seamless service provision and provide a seamless voice chat service prototype focusing on disaster response scenarios.
