Integrating External Processes and Inter Process Communication into Object Oriented User Interfaces.
Book Section, Bibliographie
Abstract
Integrating control of and communication with coexisting processes in the user interface of an application has several advantages to the normally used concept, in which the application part is the controlling and communicating part of a program. In this paper the concepts are shown and their implementation as C++ classes is illustrated. Our concept includes classes for creating processes on local and remote machines and for building a client-server-connection via TCP/IP.
