Abstract
This paper is about the integration of discontinuous milling operations into the continuous flow production line of branched sheet metal profiles in an integral design. A major challenge is the non-existing possibility to clamp the work piece due to its constant feed. The machining “on the fly” itself is only possible throug hsynchronizing the movement of the machine tools axes with the continuous feed of the sheet metal profile.
