Abstract

The medical environment strictly specifies a number of harsh specifications that have to be met by actuation systems: sterility, MR compatibility, handling of aggressive fluids, and power density just to mention a few examples. This paper will dive into practical applications explain requirements, and demonstrate how the physical principles can be employed for the benefit of health.
