Rank-order based description of colour rendering: definition, observer variability and validation.
CIE 2010 "Lighting Quality & Energy Efficiency". Wien (17.März 2010)
Conference or Workshop Item, Bibliographie

Abstract

From the predicted ordinal ratings of the colour differences of 17 test-colour samples under the test light source and the reference light source (excellent, good, acceptable, not acceptable, very bad), an ordinal rating scale based colour rendering index (RCRI) was defined. The inter-observer variability of the visual colour differences was analyzed in each rating category. To validate RCRI, the result of a visual experiment with a complex still life arrangement of real objects (assessing the colour quality dimensions of fidelity, harmony, acceptability, visual clarity and brightness) is presented. Certain dimensions were related to colour fidelity but other dimensions were not.
