Abstract

Surface operations in distant bodies like Mars present a lot of challenges. Among them, lack of direct communications and a complex environment are the main drivers that push for more autonomy both on-ground and onboard. This paper presents a timeline, hierarchical, heuristically-based and domain-independent planner called QuijoteExpress oriented to solve highly constrained temporal problems.
