Konferenzveröffentlichung, Bibliographie

Kurzbeschreibung (Abstract)

The subject of the paper is a method for computer-based reconstruction of 3D faces. This reconstruction is based on 3D skull data and a data base of corresponding skull and skin surfaces. Methods are presented describing the reation of a corresponding face for a given skull. First, the segmentation process of CT-images is described which is necessary to create a data base with skulls and faces belonging to each other. Then the matching takes place to correlate the analysed skull with a skull from the data base. Finally the resulting passpoint set is used to transform the distance informations of the data base in order to generate a face most probably belonging to the skull.
