Simulation of Autonomous Self-organizing Transport Vehicles in the Logistics.
Technische Universität Darmstadt
Bachelorarbeit, Bibliographie

Kurzbeschreibung (Abstract)

In recent years automation of transport and production logistics has attracted increasing amount of attention. Different companies strive for speeding up the production process and lowering their production cost. One possible solution to those problems could be the introduction of a self-organizing storage transportation system. This is a system in which all transport tasks in a given storage are maintained by software-controlled vehicles. Looking from software development viewpoint, such a system arises various interesting problems that need to be solved, such as pathfinding, unit integration and independence, collision avoidance. Strategies for allocating different transport tasks are also needed. In the course of this bachelor thesis was developed a demo program, pointing out the challenges mentioned above and their solutions with corresponding specific application in a concrete scenario.
