Abstract

The influence of a synthetic method for high frequency turbulence on aeroacoustic simulations with turbulence models is investigated. The sound pressure Level (SPL) of a detached eddy simulation with and without the synthetic method are compared for a benchmark test case, The results show that the synthetic method is able to increase the simulation accuracy of the high frequency spectrum.
