Abstract

Visible light communication (VLC) is a wireless data communication technology, which transmits data via visible light beams. Light-emitting diodes are utilized as transmitters. LEDs achieve modulation bandwidths which are superior to all other light sources and enable high data rates. One possible area of application is found in vehicular communication systems.
