Cooperative Design Methods for Energy Active Facade Elements Based on BIMserver and Multi-Agent-Services using JADE.

Konferenzveröffentlichung, Bibliographie

Kurzbeschreibung (Abstract)

The renewable energies expansion is increasing worldwide. To satisfy the demand, large surface areas converting wind and solar power are needed. Accessible areas on building envelopes provide potential. However, various problems complicate the application of active façade elements. They need to be planned and integrated as early as possible, implying assumptions to be made. Also, cooperation among different stakeholders is necessary and needs to be organised. Small alterations of the building design can have an impact on an elements’ efficiency. This work presents a methodology to solve these problems. Presented is an innovative softwareengineering approach using a BIMserver storing building models and a multi-agent-systems (MAS) establishing intelligence on a collaboration platform. The developed methodology allows an easy and early integration of energy active façade elements into a building’s processes, and is transferrable to other problems in civil-engineering. This paper discusses the platform’s structure with its focus on the MAS.
