Kurzbeschreibung (Abstract)

The focus of this study is the numerical simulation of the forced oscillation of a circular cylinder with a Very Large Eddy Simulation model (VLES). Five different oscillating frequencies are considered to cover the so-called jump, where abrupt changes in drag and lift coefficients are observed. The results of the simulations are compared to available experimental data and numerical results from other studies.
