Kurzbeschreibung (Abstract)

It is shown that the intensity ratio of the T'/T Rb-87 NMR lines can be influenced by a variation of the cooling rate from the preparation temperature to ambient temperatures. We discuss the origin of the appearance of the T' line in Rb3C60 and the changes in the intensity ratio of the T' and T Rb-87 NMR lines with respect to magnetically different surroundings of the Rb+ ions caused by the two standard orientations of the C-60(3-) ions. This interpretation of the T lines in Rb-87 NMR is consistent with the structural results of X-ray analyses. Additionally, the sample's superconducting volume fraction is influenced by the cooling rate after the annealing process. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
