Kurzbeschreibung (Abstract)

The quality of reamed holes is affected by machining deficiencies and tool geometrical errors. The analysis of how these input factors can affect the quality of reamed holes is complicated by the presence of uncertainties. This paper is an extension of a previous study. Uncertainty analysis (UA) and sensitivity analysis (SA) methods are applied with the help of Monte Carlo (MC) simulation to account for the manufacturing uncertainties. The most robust method eFAST revealed the six most important input factors. To ensure high manufacturing quality, manufacturers should thus seek to adhere to the new threshold limits defined for the input factors.
