This paper surveys our results from three-dimensional numerical simulations of buoyant bubbles in water. Simulations are carried out with the massively parallelized code FS3D, which employs an advanced Volume-Of-Fluid (VOF) method. Specific aspects are terminal rise velocities and rise paths of single bubbles, wobbling bubbles, vortex shedding and bubble induced turbulence, rise and approach behavior of bubble pairs as well as coalescence of two bubbles rising side by side.English
