Abstract

In this thesis, the significance of t- and u-channel exchange processes in the formation of axial-vector mesons is studied. The analysis is based on a chiral Lagrangian for light vector mesons. A non-linear integral equation based on unitarity and causality is used to unitarize the scattering amplitude. This leads to the formation of axial-vector molecules.
