Architecture Proposal for the Process- and Data Integration of High Performance Computing Applications in PLM.
In: ProSTEP iViP Science Days, Integrated Engineering -From Patchwork to Network
Buchkapitel, Bibliographie

Kurzbeschreibung (Abstract)

High Performance Computing (HPC) has become ubiquitous for simulations in the industrial context. To identify the requirements for integration of HPC-relevant data and processes a survey has been conducted concerning the German car manufacturers and service and component suppliers. This contribution presents the results of the evaluation and suggests an architecture concept, called HPC Bridge, to integrate data and workflows related with Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) and HPC-facilities in Product Life-Cycle Management (PLM). Synergies gained by integrated use of HPC Bridge and the CAE Data Management approach of SimPDM are illustrated by means of an example.
