Using Modern Access Control for Data Security on Industrial Machines.
In: prostep ivip Symposium 2019 - Collaboration in the age of Smart Products and Services, ICS Stuttgart, 11. - 13.04.2019, [Conference or Workshop Item]

Abstract

With the digitization and interconnection of industrial machines the amount of data collected and stored during the product life cycle is increasing drastically. Especially the data on production machines corresponds closely to a company’s technological know-how. However, today’s security mechanisms are not sufficient to defend against the current and future security threat landscape. Therefore, we propose the integration of a modern access control architecture to protect the data adequately.
