Kurzbeschreibung (Abstract)

The 2D/3D registration in this master thesis is a hybrid method consisting of feature based and intensity based registration. The feature based registration consists of the determination of the markers in the two-dimensional respectively three-dimensional image and the pose estimation. The result is a pose of which accuracy is improved by the intensity based registration. For the marker detection a novel segmentation method is introduced, which specifically determines the shape of sphere projection. This specification enables successful segmentation, even if the sphere projection is partly covered by projections of other objects.
